The full-service café features espresso drinks, coffee, tea, chai, matcha, nitro cold brew, homemade bubbly water, light fare, beer, wine, and WiFi in a casual, kid-friendly space. Known for its warm, whimsical atmosphere and creative menu, Buttercup has built a loyal following among Angelo State students, families, and locals alike. The café has a bit of a comeback story too — after nearly closing in late 2023, it was saved by a husband-and-wife team with deep roots in the Christoval area, the Jollys, who stepped in to keep the community staple going as a true mom-and-pop shop.
