Free Rein Coffee is a San Angelo-rooted coffee company with deep West Texas roots and a growing national presence. The roastery was founded in partnership with Yellowstone actor Cole Hauser, who teamed up with friends to build a brand around the hard-charging spirit of the American Dream, anchoring it to a San Angelo family that had been roasting coffee for over 25 years. Originally known as The Longhorn Coffee Company, Free Rein carries on that small-batch roasting tradition at its location on South Oakes Street, offering artisanal blends like the San Angelo Sunrise — a medium roast with cinnamon, turmeric, and a hint of black pepper. The San Angelo shop offers bagged coffee, K-Cups, and freshly brewed coffee to enjoy on-site, along with breakfast treats and teas.
